1. Create a Claims Account
Visit claims.vwgoa.com, register for an account and enter your car’s 17-digit VIN number. You can find your VIN on your vehicle’s registration, title or evidence of insurance.
2. Find a Nearby Dealer
You’ll be asked some questions about the car’s registration, and locate a nearby dealer for vehicle buyback or modification.
3. Choose Buyback or Modification
After answering some additional questions about the car’s ownership and condition, choose if you’d like to sell your vehicle back to Volkswagen or modify it to comply with EPA and CARB emissions.
