Is my TDI vehicle eligible?

According to the Official Information Website  about the settlement, current and former owners or lessees of the following 2.0-liter TDI vehicles can participate in the settlement:

  • Volkswagen Beetle, Beetle Convertible, 2013 – 2015
  • Volkswagen Golf, 2010 – 2015
  • Volkswagen Golf SportWagen, 2015
  • Volkswagen Jetta, 2009 – 2015
  • Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen, 2009 – 2014
  • Volkswagen Passat, 2012 – 2015
  • Audi A3, 2010 – 2013; 2015

What are my options?

According to the Official Information website about the settlement, if the settlement receives final approval by the court, your options will include the following:

  1. Participate in the Buyback
    Volkswagen will buy back your TDI car or terminate your lease early. You’ll also get an additional cash payment ranging from $5,100 to $10,000.
  1. Modify My Car
    Volkswagen will modify your affected car to improve emissions at no cost to you. You’ll also get a cash payment ranging from $5,100 to $10,000.

How do I file a claim?

Visit vwcourtsettlement.com, submit your claim by September 1, 2018 and  choose the buyback or modification option. Buybacks will be scheduled in the  order they are reviewed and approved, so get your claim in quickly.
