At today's WWDC conference, Apple introduced HomePod, a new line of Siri controlled audiophile smart speakers that deliver automatically adjusted spatially aware sound. Connected with Apple Music, HomePod also acts as a musicologist delivering personalized music selections.
In addition to being a high quality music delivery system, Apple's HomePod functions as smart speaker that can also handle Siri functions and control Apple's HomeKit home automation system.
Apple promised more functionality in the near future, as HomePod enters a competitive smart speaker marketplace led by Amazon and Google.
Apple's HomePod will be priced at $349 when it becomes available in the Fall.
