Pitchfork president Chris Kaskie will be leaving the Conde-Nast owned music media company after 14 years. He posted a handwritten memo to staff on Twitter. "I joined you at the beginning, a fresh-ish-faced 23 year old, and we grew up together," wrote Kaskie.
"We survived the various ups and downs, and arrived at the present scathed, but better," he continued. "Now here you are, a brand, publication, festival, and a legacy of people, at the top of its game."
Kaskie offered no hint as to his future plans.
Quick announcement: I will be leaving pitchfork on 7/21/17, at the end of my 14th year. Always a hoot, p4k. http://pic.twitter.com/dhJyC8URx1
