Yesterday we shared UMG's virtual reality series launching with Avenged Sevenfold. Now Abba is reuniting for a VR project. And - you heard it hear first - the Rolling Stones will reunite in 2035 for a one-off "Live From The Nursing Home" to be broadcast live on TV in HD/VR/AR and anything else that's invented between now and then.

Beloved Swedish pop group ABBA has announced that after 34 years, they will be re-uniting to collaborate with Simon Fuller on a yet-to-be detailed digital project aimed at 2018.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the group consisting of Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad will be working on the project which they described as a “groundbreaking venture that will utilize the very latest in digital and virtual reality technology.”
ABBA has in the past steadfastly resisted offers to reunite, including an invitation to perform at their 2010 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. However, they have apparently been tempted by the dark fruits of incipient digital technology.
“We’re inspired by the limitless possibilities of what the future holds and are loving being a part of creating something new and dramatic here. A time machine that captures the essence of who we were. And are,” the band said in a statement.
“We are exploring a new technological world, with virtual reality and artificial intelligence at the forefront, that will allow us to create new forms of entertainment and content we couldn’t have previously imagined,” Fuller added.
