45 music industry conferences and festivals have pledged to achieve a 50/50 gender balance across their festivals by 2022, including live line-ups, conferences and commissions. The international effort, which is led by the PRS Foundation’s International Keychange, has signed on dozens of major European fests and conference, along with 4 events in Canada and just 2 in the United States.

In the U.S. just two events have signed a pledge to achieve full gender equality by 2022 - NYC Winter Jazzfest and A2IM Indie Week.
“A2IM is committed to gender equality in all its endeavors and is excited to partner with PRS Foundation’s Keychange. Now is the time!,” declares Richard James Burgess of the American Association of Independent Music.
