Spotify, SoundCloud, Twitter Amoung Major Sites Suffering Outages After Massive DDOS Attack Friday

DDOS AttackSpotify, SoundCloud, Twitter, Reddit and Shopify were among the major sites either down or loading slowly thanks to a massive DDOS attack on Friday morning. The Distributed Denial Of Services attack was aimed at managed DNS provider DYN.

Other sites effected include the Boston Globe, New York Times, Github, Airbnb, Box, Freshbooks, Heroku and Vox Media. 

The effects appeared to be worse for users on the U.S. east coast. Full service was restored by about 11AM EST. Get more status update from DYN here.
