From France to Orlando, terrorist attacks at large gatherings have left many concert goers uncertain about safety. Others are annoyed by the long lines caused by new security measures. In answer to both concerns, Live Nation has partnered with the same company that provides pre-screening at airports to bring their service to concerts.

Live Nation has signed up with the security pre-screening company used by the Transportation Security Administration to provide easier passage through airport checkpoints to provide similar services for their music festivals.
According to The Seattle Post-Intelligencer, attendees can sign up ahead of time at pre-approved location, with a valid ID, proof of US citizenship and a fee of $85 dollars. The enrollment process is typically completed in about ten minutes and is good for five years, the Post-Intelligencer said.
At the festival, pre-screened festival-goers will be able to present their PreCheck Known Traveler Number along with a government issued ID, to receive a Fast Pass wristband good for the entire weekend.
“They’ve had a presence at two smaller, local festivals in the South to see if the concert concept is viable but the launch with Live Nation marks a much bigger program and initiative for IdentoGO and their first foray to the West Coast,” Live Nation rep Dana Meeks told the Post-Intelligencer.
The first major Live Nation festival to use the system was the Watershed Country Music Festival at The Gorge.
